Irfan Pathan Gave An Epic Reply To Those Blaming IPL 2021 For Cancellation Of 5th Test

Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan came up with an epic response to all those who were blaming the Indian Premier League for the cancelation of the fifth Test match between India and England. Well, the fifth Test match in Manchester was postponed indefinitely two hours before tossing after cases of COVID-19 emerged out in the Indian camp.

As many as 4 members of the Indian contingent tested positive for Coronavirus and as a result, the fifth Test match was called off. BCCI’s secretary Jay Shah announced the news and said that the board will work with England and Wales Cricket Board to reschedule the Manchester Test. He had said:

“The BCCI and ECB held several rounds of discussion to find a way to play the Test Match, however, the outbreak of Covid-19 in the Indian team contingent forced the decision of calling off the Old Trafford Test Match.”

He added:

“In lieu of the strong relationship between BCCI and ECB, the BCCI has offered to ECB a rescheduling of the cancelled Test match. Both the Boards will work towards finding a window to reschedule this Test match,”

However, ever since the fifth Test match was canceled, several former players and pundits have slammed the BCCI stating that the 5th Test was canceled because the IPL starts in 8 days’ time. Amidst all this hustle-bustle, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan came up with an epic response to the matter. In his Tweet, Irfan wrote how his tooth has fallen off and wanted to know whether he can put the blame on the IPL. He wrote:

My tooth fell of,can I blame the @IPL?? #easytarget”
