The Indian cricket team registered their first win at The Oval in 50 years as they defeated the England cricket team in the 4th Test match. Riding on the sensational performances by the Indian bowlers, the Indian cricket team has now taken a lead of 2-1 in the ongoing 5-match Test series.
As both the team entered the final day of the 4th Test match, the equation was 291 runs-10 wickets-90 overs. England openers Rory Burns (50) and Haseeb Hameed (63) started off well as they gave a solid kickstart to their team.
With their partnership going strong, all three results were possible and the spectators were all up for a thrilling climax, however, the Indian bowlers had some other plans. The Indian bowlers showed immense fighting spirit to bounce back into the game as they made things happen in the second session of the final day.
Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, and Umesh Yadav took charge of the game while Ravindra Jadeja backed the bowling attack by consistently pitching the ball to help the Indian cricket team register a famous win at The Oval.
It all started after things looked blurry when their partnership was going stronger with Burns scoring his well-deserved half-century, but ‘Lord’ Shardul Thakur gave the much-needed breakthrough to the Indian side. He struck in his very first over to dismiss Burns with a brilliant delivery.

Shardul’s breakthrough increased the pressure on the England cricketers and as a result, Dawid Malan had to walk back to the pavilion because of a run-out.
Later, on Jasprit Bumrah picked two crucial wickets in his two consecutive overs to shatter the hopes of England to make a comeback into the game. He dismissed Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow in his two consecutive overs. Jasprit Bumrah’s magical spell put India in a commanding position in the ongoing 4th Test match. Now India was two down at lunch.
Umesh Yadav picked three crucial wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja picked two wickets to help the Indian side register this stunning win.
Meanwhile, cricketers, fans and experts, everyone went berserk and took to Twitter to celebrate the amazing win of team India at the Oval.

Tactically this is arguably the best Virat Kohli has captained on a single day of Test cricket. Bowling changes, field placements & overall his tactics have been creative but simple for the bowlers to execute.

My generation dreamed of this scenario 20-25 years ago. Nowadays it is becoming a regular occurrence in Test cricket ? ? #IndiavsEngland
