Sachin Tendulkar’s son is once again making the news. The 18-year-old youngster, Arjun Tendulkar made a dream debut in Australia playing in the Spirit Of Global Cricket Challenge. The Spirit Of Global Cricket Challenge is being hosted by the Sydney Cricket Ground. Arjun left everyone stunned by his performance in the T20 match played at Sydney.
BRILLIANT ALL ROUND PERFORMANCE IN T20 AT SYDNEY
Playing for Cricket Club Of India, Arjun Tendulkar scalped four wickets and also did some damage to the opposition with the bat. Putting up a great all round show Arjun Tendulkar scored 48 runs from just 27 balls. Picking up 4 wickets and playing a stormy knock has made him gain a lot of popularity and appreciation.
Arjun then also talked about his performance in an interview given to abc.net.au wherein he said, “I just got stronger, grew taller and I loved bowling fast from my childhood.”
Arjun Tendulkar also said that he does not carry any burden of expectations. He said that while bowling he just hits the deck hard. About his batting, he said that he just likes to play his shots. He further added that he chooses which bowler should he go after and which bowler he shouldn’t go after.
Arjun has been grooming up nicely and he generates some great pace. In the manner in which he gave his interview, it also seems that he is maturing up not just as a cricketer but also as a person. This right frame of mind which he has showcased in this interview shows that he has a long way to go.
Arjun Tendulkar also talked about his inspirations in cricket. When asked about his inspirations, the young lad said that he draws his inspiration from the Aussie fast bowler, Mitchel Starc and England’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes.
Arjun believes that he may be a quicker bowler as there are not many bowlers in India who deliver express pace.
