The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is getting heavily criticized on social media after he once again failed to give the best of his abilities on the 2nd day of the ongoing 1st test match against England.
Virat Kohli walked out to bat at number 4 after lunch on the second day of the first Test, with a lot of expectations on his shoulders. Fans from both sides were waiting for some high-voltage battle between ‘James Anderson and Virat Kohli’. However, to everyone’s surprise, the face-off lasted only one delivery as Virat lost his wicket on the very first ball of the game.
James Anderson got the better of Virat Kohli with a full delivery. Virat went for the forward push but ended up edging the ball to Jos Buttler and Virat had to walk back to the pavilion without even opening his account.
The crowd at Trent Bridge that went berserk when King Kohli walked out to bat, was left heartbroken after the quick dismissal of their favorite star. In fact, Virat himself looked extremely puzzled after getting dismissed for a first-ball duck.
After the disappointing dismissal, people on social media went berserk and started trolling him for his poor performance. There were many who trolled Kohli for over the choice of shot he played.
Among many, a journalist from England also joined the bandwagon and trolled Virat Kohli over his unpleasant dismissal. In his tweet, he raised questions about his preparations for international games by stating a fact that Virat hasn’t played a Ranji Trophy match ever since 2012. He wrote:
“Kohli with the shot of a man who hasn’t played a Ranji Trophy match since 2012. #EngvInd“
