India’s wicketkeeper–batsman Sanju Samson has once again managed to make headlines, however, for all the wrong reasons. He drew plenty of flak after he threw away another opportunity at the international level. He has once again disappointed his fans, who were expecting a big score from him in the ongoing series decider against Sri Lanka.
Sanju Samson, who is often criticized for mixing consistency with talent, was once again at it as he registered a three-ball duck against Sri Lanka in the ongoing 3rd T20I match in Colombo.
The Indian cricket team failed to make a good start, after opting to bat first at the toss, as Dushmantha Chameera sent Shikhar Dhawan back to the pavilion in the opening over itself. Later, Wanindu Hasaranga broke havoc and didn’t let team India make a comeback in the game and he returned figures of 4 for 9. Eventually, team India was bundled up at 81/8, which is their third-lowest T20I total.
However, it was Sanju Samson who became the talking point on social media as he failed to materialize another chance. Apart from Sanju Samson, Shikhar Dhawan and Varun Chakravarthy were also dismissed on a duck. On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav top-scored with 23 not-out.
Meanwhile, fans took to their social media to express their anger after Sanju Samson once again failed to give the best of his abilities. Fans are slamming the cricketer left, right, and center. There are many who are predicting that Samson’s T20 career is now over after his horrendous show in Colombo.
