Gautam Gambhir Posted A Heart-Winning Tweet For New Zealand: A tenacious New Zealand cricket team broke all records as they won their first major ICC trophy of the World Test Championship title by defeating the Indian cricket team by 8 wickets.

Earlier, the Kane Williamson-led New Zealand cricket team had ended up as runners-up at the 2019 ODI World Cup after losing the final battle to hosts England on boundary count. In fact, the Blackcaps had lost the 2015 World Cup final to Australia.

However, riding on the performance of skipper Kane Williamson (52) and Ross Taylor (47), the New Zealand cricket team defeated all odds and grabbed the maiden WTC trophy. The duo formed an amazing unbeaten 96-run partnership as they successfully chased the 139-run target without much fuss.

After winning the final clash, there was the trademark serene smile on Kane Williamson’s face which widened following the hug from his mate Ross Taylor as they celebrated their win in a very low-key manner.

Meanwhile, as soon as the Kane Williamson side won the WTC Final, social media was flooded with amazing reactions from the fans. Though the result was a disappointment for the Indian cricket lovers, however, the fans were happy for Kane Williamson and his team.  Cricketers, experts, and fans from all across the world took to their social media to hail the Kiwis on their incredible win.

Among many, former Indian cricketer and world cup hero Gautam Gambhir also took to his Twitter and posted a heart-winning tweet for the New Zealand cricket team. In his tweet, Gambhir hailed the ‘nice guys’ for their brilliant performance and congratulated them for becoming the ultimate Test champions. He wrote:

“Nice guys don’t always finish last! Congrats NZ. World No.1! #WTC2021Final”
