Faf du Plessis Finally Shared A Major Update About His Health

Veteran South Africa batsman Faf du Plessis suffered a terrible collision on the pitch with his teammate Mohammad Hasnain during a match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Du Plessis suffered a nasty collision with his teammate while fielding and left everyone stunned after he collapsed on the field.

The scary incident took place during the 7th over of the Peshawar Zalmi innings when Faf, who o is representing the Quetta Gladiators in the tournament, made a diving attempt at the boundary line during which his head collided with the leg of his teammate Mohammad Hasnain. Both the cricketers converged from long-off and long-on respectively to stop a boundary off David Miller.

Du Plessis looked in pain and was later on taken for scans to a hospital in Abu Dhabi. The cricketer didn’t turn up in the rest of the game and was eventually replaced by Sain Ayub.

Meanwhile, social media was flooded with tweets and posts from worried fans, who were sending prayers and wishes for the speedy recovery of the cricketer.

Amidst all this, Faf’s wife Imari Du Plessis was left heartbroken and she took to her social media to react to the horrible collision. In her Instagram story, Imari shared a picture of Faf after the nasty collision during the game and expressed how watching her husband in pain is killing her. She wrote:

“This is killing me right now. Surely he should be checked in hospital?!??”

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Faf took to his Twitter and shared a major update about his health. In his tweet, Faf also thanked his fans for showering love and wishes. He also revealed that he is having a concussion with memory loss but he will be fine soon. He wrote:

“Thank you everyone for all the messages of support. I’m back at the hotel recovering. Have concussion with some memory loss but I will be fine. Hopefully be back on the field soon. Much love. “
