Wriddhiman Saha Posted A Special Tweet After Recovering From COVID-19

During IPL 2021, on May 4th, when Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Wriddhiman Saha, as well as Delhi Capitals’ Amit Mishra, had tested positive for Coronavirus, prompting the BCCI to suspend the remainder of the IPL 2021 mid-way. Ever since then, Saha was in quarantine however is now allowed to move out.

The wicketkeeper-batsman was still in quarantine when had urged everyone to not spread any misleading information about him. He had said:

“My quarantine period is still not over. As a part of the routine check-up, 2 tests were done, out of which 1 was negative and the other one came as positive. Otherwise, I am doing much better. Requesting everyone not to spread misleading stories/information without the whole context,”

Saha finally returned to the city on Monday evening after completing his mandatory quarantine period at a hotel in New Delhi where he had tested positive for COVID-19. Saha had to complete his 17-day isolation after one of his two Covid-19 tests came negative and the other was positive.

Now as the cricketer has finally recovered from the COVID-19 infection, he took to his social media and gave a major update about his health and thanked his fans for all the wishes. He wrote:

“I have recovered. Thanks for all your wishes!”

Meanwhile, Saha is a part of the India squad for the upcoming WTC final against New Zealand and the subsequent five-Test series against England. The cricketer is expected to join the rest of the squad in Mumbai on May 24 from where they will leave for London on June 2 by a chartered flight.

Though he is a part of the squad but isn’t expected to feature in many matches as Rishabh Pant is more likely to take the role behind the stumps for the entire UK tour too.
