A week after testing positive for Coronavirus, the Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar took to his social media and revealed that he has been admitted to the hospital on medical advice and that he hopes to return to his home in a few days.
After the successful completion of the Road Safety Series, Sachin Tendulkar was tested positive for the infection. In his tweet, Tendulkar also wished the Indian cricket fans on the 10th anniversary of the ICC World Cup 2011. Sachin wrote:
“Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone. Wishing all Indians & my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup win”

The tweet soon went viral and was flooded with reactions from the fans on it. Several cricketers and experts also wished for the speedy recovery of the legendary cricketer. Among many, former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi, who is known for his anti-Indian tweets, also took to his twitter and wished for the speedy recovery of the cricketer. In his tweet, he called Sachin ‘legend’ and wished that he makes a strong recovery. He wrote:
“Wishing you a speedy recovery Legend . No doubt that you will make a strong recovery. May your hospital stay be short and your recovery even shorter!”

Another Pakistani cricketing legend Wasim Akram also replied to Sachin’s tweet and came up with a beautiful message for the Master Blaster. He wrote:
“Even when you were 16, you battled world’s best bowlers with guts and aplomb… so I am sure you will hit Covid-19 for a SIX! Recover soon master! Would be great if you celebrate India’s World Cup 2011 anniversary with doctors and hospital staff… do send me a pic!”

Meanwhile, Sachin isn’t the only cricketer to have test positive for COVID-19 off-lately. Following Sachin’s announcement, cricketers Yusuf Pathan, Subramaniam Badrinath, and Irfan Pathan took to Twitter to confirm that have also tested positive for Coronavirus.
