Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav has found himself under the scanner of criticism and trolling after his disastrous performance in the 2nd ODI match against England. The cricketer is struggling and is short of confidence for quite some time now. In his last 5 ODIs, the Chinaman has conceded more than 60 runs on 4 occasions and has taken only 6 wickets.
Kuldeep was preferred over spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar in the ongoing ODI series against England however, he failed to live up to the expectations of the fans. Kuldeep produced regrettable figures of 0/68 in nine overs while other bowlers excelled. Despite his poor performance, he was again given a chance in the playing XI of India for 2nd ODI, however, once again, Kuldeep left everyone disappointed.
In the second ODI, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow smashed the Indian bowlers all around the ground as they scored 99 and 124 runs respectively. Though, in the 26th over of England’s innings, Kuldeep hit the stumps directly from the mid-wicket boundary and the ball directly smashed the stumps. However, when the on-field umpires referred to the third umpire, they decided to go against India.
Kuldeep turned out to be the most expensive bowler as he conceded 84 runs in 10 overs he bowled and went wicketless.
