Former South African skipper AB de Villiers has been toiling hard ahead of the upcoming 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League, where he will be seen reprising his role for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has been constantly sharing updates about his preparations for his team ahead of IPL 2021.
On Wednesday, before his departure to India for the IPL 2021, AB de Villiers hit the nets. He shared a short video of himself where he can be seen practicing at the nets in Pretoria.
In the video, de Villiers can be seen hitting a fierce straight drive that smashed over an iPhone, which was recording his training session from the other end. Needless to say, the iPhone was smashed out of shape.
The video of the same was shared by the legendary batsman via his official Instagram account. Sharing the video, de Villiers’ wrote:
“Iphone out! @iplt20 prep with Cricket guru @bennie.bester.10 and @krugervanwyk . Thanks manne??”

Meanwhile, AB will be joining his team Royal Challengers Bangalore as the Virat Kohli-led side is scheduled to lock horns with the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the season opener. de Villiers will be gearing up for the 2021 edition of the IPL.
The legendary batsman was in a good form in the previous season as well, where he scored 454 runs at an average of 45.40. Unfortunately, the Virat Kohli-led side was knocked out in the eliminator stage in the 2020 edition of the IPL. With the new season ahead of them, RCB would aim for their maiden title win with some firepower in the camp.
