Former Indian skipper and current BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly have once again admitted t the Apollo Hospital in Kolkata after experiencing discomfort in the chest. The pain has occurred just weeks after undergoing treatment for a heart-related ailment.

Earlier Ganguly was admitted to Woodlands hospital in Kolkata on January 2 after he had complained of chest pain and dizziness. Ganguly later underwent angioplasty after he was diagnosed with three blockages in the coronary artery.

As per the reports in the Bengali news channels, Ganguly was immediately taken to the emergency room at the hospital. It is also understood, that two more stents which were supposed to be implented on Ganguly’s coronary arteries, in a couple of weeks from the date of his previous discharge from hospital, likely to be implanted now.

According to the latest updates from the hospital, Ganguly will be kept under observation for now and stents will be implanted on his arteries by conducting angioplasty procedure only after a 4-member medical board constituted for his treatment feels the need to do so.

“Sourav Ganguly has come for a checkup of his cardiac condition. There is no change in his parameters since his last hospitalization & his vital parameters are stable,” Apollo Hospitals, Kolkata said in a release, according to news agency ANI.
