Indian batting legend Virender Sehwag applauded the Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj, who has impressed one and all with his brilliant performance in the ongoing test series against Australia.

On Day 5 of the ongoing fourth and final Test match at the Gabba, Siraj, who was leading the bowling attack, completed his maiden 5-wicket haul in the last innings of his first-ever Test series. Siraj finished the day with the magical figures of 5/73. Mohammed Siraj dismissed Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Matthew Wade, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood to complete his 5-wicket haul on day 5.

With this special feat. Siraj has become only the 5th Indian bowler to pick up a 5-wicket haul at the Gabba. Siraj’s warrior mentality has been winning the hearts of one and all. He has been receiving praises from all corners.

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag also took to his Twitter and hailed the brilliance of Mohammed Siraj. Sehwag penned down a heartfelt tweet where he showered praises on Siraj and claimed how the ‘boy’ became a ‘man’ on the tour.

He also lauded the efforts made by the newcomers and the way they have performed in the ongoing tour. Sehwag wrote:

“The boy has become a man on this tour. Siraj, Leader of the attack in his first Test series and he has led from.the front. The way newcomers have performed for India on this tour will be etched in memories for a long long time. Will be fitting if they retain the trophy.”
