Fans Went Berserk After Rohit Sharma Bowled Medium Pace At Gabba: Injury after injury, team India’s injury crisis seems never-ending. There was another addition to the injury list on Friday after fast-bowler Navdeep Saini walked off the field with a groin injury on day one of the ongoing fourth Test against Australia in Brisbane.
The incident took place in the 36th over of Australia’s innings when Navdeep Saini was bowling to Marnus. After bowling the fifth ball of the over, Saini lied on the ground and looked in discomfort while holding onto his thighs. Eventually, the pacer walked-off the field with the physio.
On the previous ball, Saini had nearly claimed the wicket of Marnus, but skipper Ajinkya Rahane missed a simple catch.
As Saini walked off the field, medium-pacer and India’s opening batsman Rohit was then summoned to complete the rest of the over, with only one ball to go.
Though Rohit is no stranger to bowling in international cricket, as he has two wickets to his name, but he took everyone by surprise by bowling as a medium pacer instead of bowling as an off-spinner.
The video of the same has been going viral on social media. Here, watch the video:

So far, Rohit has had an eventful day on the field at the Gabba. First, he took a stunner by diving full to his right to get rid of David Warner for just 1 run. Later, he caught one to dismiss the dangerous Steve Smith for 36, handing Washington Sundar his maiden Test wicket on the day of his debut.
Rohit is expected to play a big role with the bat in the ongoing match at Brisbane. After a solid performance in Sydney, Hitman will be expected to kick on and play a crucial role in the series decider.
Meanwhile, fans went berserk on social media the moment they saw Rohit with the ball. Seeing this unusual sight coming from Brisbane had fans all over India in a frenzy.
