VVS Laxman Gave A Fitting Reply To Australia’s Verbal Attack On Team India: Following team India’s shambolic 36 all-out in the second innings of the Adelaide Test – which was India’s lowest-ever total in a Test inning, there was immense tremendous pressure on team India. Adding more to that, team India was without the services of Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, due to injury while skipper Virat Kohli is on paternity leave.

However, inspired by the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane, India’s stand-in captain, team India bounced back into the form and outperformed Australians throughout the Boxing-day Test match. Rahane and co. gave a stunning performance and registered one of the most memorable comebacks in cricket’s history.

Recently, while speaking on Star Sports show Cricket Connected, legendary Indian cricketer VVS Laxman showered praises on Team India for the way they fought back. Appreciating the performance of Team India, VVS Laxman also fired a stern warning to teams around the world to not take team India lightly under any circumstances. He said:

“Well, I think, see a lot can be talked off the field but I think the reply, and a very a fitting reply has been given by the Indian Team. It’s obvious that once you’re bowled out for 36, various Cricket experts will think that Virat Kohli leaving the series and Shami being ruled out, the Indian team could sort off disintegrate and could result in  very poor outings in the remainder of the series but credit to the entire team, support staff, the way they bounced back positively. I would say to my viewer friends and experts, never rule out anything, especially not the Indian Cricket Team”

Meanwhile, with the series tantalizingly poised at 1-1, the pressure is now on the Australian cricket team after Rahane and Co. overshadowed them in all the departments of the game. The third test match will kickstart from Thursday, 7th January.
