Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, turned out to be sensational for team India in the just concluded T20I series. He was adjudged as the Man of the Series because of his impeccable performances with the bat. After a successful IPL season and the ODI series, Hardik Pandya played a vital role in India winning the ongoing T20I series against Australia by an unbeatable 2-0.

Two days after raising hopes of extending his stay in Australia for the upcoming four-match Test series that will kickstart from December 17. Pandya’s coming off back surgery and showing in the just-concluded limited overs gave rise to hopes that he might return to the longest format as well.

The hopes were strengthened when the all-rounder, after taking the team to victory in the second T20I, said he wouldn’t mind staying back for the upcoming Test series however the decision is of the team management. He had said:

“I think I should head back home and spend some quality time with my family. I haven’t seen my child for four months, so I’d like to spend some time with family right now,”

He added:

“Maybe in the future. I don’t know, maybe,” He said: “It’s a different ball game, I think I need to be, I mean I don’t mind but at the end of the day, the call is on the management.”

“I don’t mind giving interviews because you only have those when you’re on the winning side. I haven’t seen my child for four months, so I’d like to spend some time with family right now,”

Meanwhile, the odds are now level as both the teams have won 3 games and 1 series each on the ongoing tour so far. The 4-match Test series will kickstart from December 17th at the Adelaide Oval with the Day-Night Pink-Ball Test match.
