Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is one of the most successful skippers in IPL history, having won the trophy four times, which is the most by any IPL franchise. Besides being a great skipper, Rohit is a true leader.

On Thursday, after defeating Delhi Capitals by 57 runs in Qualifier 1 to enter straight into the finals, Mumbai Indians gave an impressive performance. MI made turned the clash into a one-sided game as they took another step towards the title.

Before the game kickstarted, Mumbai Indians were asked to bat first. Though they started off- on the worst possible note as they lost their captain Rohit Sharma and vice-captain Kieron Pollard on golden ducks, however, the batting line-up bounced back and turned the tables.

Riding on the powerful performances of Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan, MI was able to post a total of 200/5 in 20 overs. Later, while defending the total of 200 runs, Delhi Capitals’ failed to get going as Mumbai Indians bundled-up their batting line-up.

For Mumbai, Jasprit Bumrah starred with the ball as he picked up 4 wickets for just 14 runs off his four overs. After the game ended with a positive note for MI, Rohit Sharma won everyone’s heart with his gesture for Rahul Chahar.

Chahar had a poor outing with the ball as he conceded 35 runs in just two overs without taking a wicket. However, being the humble man that he is, Rohit Sharma showed true sportsmanship by making sure that Chahar’s confidence is not hurt, Rohit Sharma asked him to lead the team for the fist pumps.
