How it started vs How it is going feat. Ruturaj Gaikwad and MS Dhoni: Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been an inspiration for millions of youngsters out there, who want to make it big in the cricket world. Every cricketer who has had the pleasure to play with or against MS Dhoni has their own stories and the latest one to join the league is the emerging star Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Ruturaj Gaikwad emerged out to be the only silver lining in an otherwise disastrous CSK squad as he finished three back-to-back half-centuries. During the last match of CSK in IPL 2020, which was against KXIP, Ruturaj starred with the bat once again as CSK closed off their IPL 2020 campaign with a nine-wicket win.
Recently, Ruturaj took to his social media and recollected his fond memories with the legendary cricketer. He recalled how he was moved by the former Indian captain’s warmth during their first meeting in 2016 during his first meeting with him, which happened during his first-class debut in 2016.
He also expressed how during the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League, Dhoni came to his rescue and motivated him by talking to him about life, after Ruturaj had a string of low scores in his initial IPL matches. He wrote:

October 2016 I met him for the first time fractured my finger during my debut ranji game,He was the mentor of Jharkhand ..And he himself came and asked me about how I am!!
October 2020..3 low scores,he himself came up and talked about life!!

And more than a dream to share the 22 yards with him and Finishing things off!”
