Shashi Tharoor Reveals Why He Was Extremely Upset With MS Dhoni

Over the years, the game of cricket has transformed wonderfully. With new techniques and systems, the game has become more entertaining than ever. Meanwhile, the Decision Review System or DRS has been doing wonders ever since it was introduced in the game of cricket.

Recently, in an exclusive interview on Sportskeeda, the former diplomat Shashi Tharoor talked about DRS. He said that he was very disappointed with Indian cricketers MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar for not embracing DRS in the early days of cricket.
During the interview, Shashi Tharoor claimed that he has been a fan of DRS ever since it was introduced in the cricket world. He also said that India should have used earlier in their game. He said:
“I’m a huge fan of technology. I’ve been an advocate of DRS from the start, and I was extremely upset with Dhoni and Tendulkar for refusing it. I watch cricket and every time, I’ve found that we were hard done by umpiring decisions. I never understood why we were so allergic to DRS.”

Furthermore, Shashi Tharoor said that he doesn’t want to see international cricket without DRS ever again. He said:
DRS is such a major innovation. I never want to see international cricket without DRS ever again. It is so indispensable and eliminates so many bad decisions, and it creates an additional form of excitement for the viewer. It adds an extra element of tension to the plot and it is a very welcome addition as far as I’m concerned,”
Soon after the DRS came into the system, MS Dhoni impressed one and all with his amazing and accurate use of DRS, which is something that the current Indian skipper Virat Kohli hasn’t achieved.
