The Indian fans had their elations unhinged when Rohit Sharma successfully cleared his medical test to be declared fit for the Australia tour just before the Border-Gavaskar series was all set to kick-off.
Twitter exploded in reacting to the return of Rohit Sharma that also included the emphatic reactions of a few cricketers who were eagerly waiting for this announcement. It is not easy to bat on the Australian surfaces as the ball tends to swing a lot more and makes life hell for the visiting teams.
To make matters worse, India will be starting their Test campaign against Australia in a day-night encounter at Adelaide. A day and night affair becomes extremely tricky for batsmen already with the dew setting in. However, the surfaces in Australia make batting a living nightmare for the visiting batsmen considering the additional bounce and swing.
This is exactly why the news of Rohit Sharma’s inclusion to the squad will bring fresh air to the team given the addition of expertise in an otherwise young Indian batting line-up.

India will have their task cut out when they clash with the hosts for the first test. Australia already brags about a fiery opening bowling trio in the form of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and Josh Hazlewood. They will be joined by the likes of experienced Nathan Lyon and a soaring Adam Zampa to compound India’s miseries. A lot will rely on the likes of Pujara and Kohli to deliver India from all evils.
