Today, the Supreme Court has announced that the CBI will take over the death probe of Sushant Singh Rajput. The verdict has come after his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, who is also the prime accused in the death case of SSR, filed a plea in the Supreme Court to transfer the probe to Mumbai.
The judge Hrishikesh Roy has dismissed Rhea’s plea. The Supreme Court has directed the Mumbai Police to hand over all the evidence it collected to the CBI.
Now that the CBI has taken over the case, everyone is hoping that the truth might come out soon. As per the reports, a special CBI team that investigated several high-profile cases included that of Vijay Mallya, will step in to investigate the SSR case.
