Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former Indian skipper celebrated his 39th birthday yesterday and the cricketer was flooded with hundreds and thousands of birthday wishes and tributes. From cricketers to fans around the country, everyone paid tribute to the legendary keeper-batsman.

On the occasion of MS Dhoni’s birthday, Jatin Sapru also joined the bandwagon and shared an amazing video of his interview with Indian batsman Suresh Raia, who is one of the closest friends of MS Dhoni. During the interview, Suresh Raina revealed many amazing stories involving MS Dhoni. Suresh Raina revealed an interesting story, which proves why MS Dhoni is known for his street smartness.




Suresh Raina revealed the surprising tactics of MS Dhoni to upset pacer Tino Best during an ODI match between India and West Indies cricket team. Raina revealed how Dhoni was paddle sweeping Tino’s Kmph deliveries and eventualy succeeded in upsetting Tino’s line and length. Narrating the incident, Suresh said:

“Dhoni bhai ne Tino Best ko maara tha ek paddle sweep. Maine kaha ‘Dhoni bhai 150kmph daal raha hai’. Unhone bola ‘Usko chiddha raha hun main abhi, yeh mujhe aur dega maarne ke liyee’. Phir uski line hi kharab hogayi. 4 over mein uske chaalis pad gaye.”




(Which roughly translates to: “Dhoni bhai had paddle swept Tino Best. I told him ‘bhai he is bowling at 150 kmph’. He told me ‘I am teasing him, he will give me more lose deliveries’. He (Best) lost his length and conceded 40 in 4 overs”).

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni was last seen playing against New Zealand during the World Cup semifinal and took a sabbatical after that. He was all set to star in the edition of the Indian Premier League, which was suspended because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
