The Indian cricketers, MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir have been two of the strongest contenders of the game. The heroics of both these cricketers have made team India win many important matches and tournaments, including the World Cup 2011.
While MS Dhoni is someone who is known for his cool as cucumber nature, on the other hand, Gautam Gambhir is the exact opposite. However, one thing that remains the same in both the cricketers is their love and passion for the game. Though these two are very different from each other, but they undoubtedly the best captains of their time for their franchises in the Indian Premier League.
Dhoni and Gambhir are two of the most successful skippers in the IPL. While MS Dhoni has won the title of IPL three times leading his team Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, Gambhir took his team KKR to new heights with his captaincy skills.
Recently, Joy Bhattacharya, the team director of Kolkata Knight Riders explained the difference between the two cricketers. While he showered praises on both the cricketers, he compared both of them and shared the difference in their captaincy. As per him, while MS Dhoni is the coolest guy on the field, on the other hand, Gambhir can take a bullet for his team. He said:
“Dhoni is Mr. Cool but Gambhir can never be cool. So What do you say when you have somebody like a Dhoni? He is the coolest guy, they play chilled cricket, don’t worry about results, they will come just play cricket. He’s so calm that he will sort it out”,
He added:
“You can’t play that narrative with Gautam. So what do you do when you have a Gautam in the team? You don’t say that he is captain cool, he is the guy who will take a bullet for his players, he has got all passion”,
