Sachin Tendulkar, the former Indian cricketer is regarded as the ‘God of cricket’ because of the milestones he achieved during his glorious career. Despite taking retirement from the game seven years ago, he still remains to be the highest run-scorer in international cricket.

The enormous tally of 34,357  runs of Sachin, seems like a dream for any other cricketer to surpass.  Besides this, Sachin has another tally of hundred hundreds in international cricket.

Over these years, the Indian captain Virat Kohli, who is regarded as the modern-day legend of this game, has wonderfully created his space in the cricket world, so much so, that has not let the Indian fans feel the void that was left by Sachin Tendulkar after he hanged his boots. With  21,901 runs already in his career, and many more years left, Virat Kohli should surpass the milestone set by the master-blaster.
However, there has always been this never-ending debate going on between Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

Recently, former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar, has come up with an interesting take on this comparison between the two legends. Recently, in an interview, Shoaib Akhtar said that Sachin Tendulkar played in the toughest era of cricket and he would have easily scored ‘1,30,000’ runs in career if played in the current era. He said:
“Tendulkar batted in the toughest era of cricket. If he had to get the chance now, he may hit more than 1.30 lakh runs. So, it’s not good to make a comparison between Sachin and Kohli,”
Well, currently there are only limited bowlers available worldwide, however, during Sachin’s era things were different. He has played against the likes of Courtney Walsh, Allan Donald, Wasim Akram, Glenn McGrath and many others.
