Asked to bat first, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan gave a flying start to the Indian cricket team. While Rohit Sharma fell short of eight runs to score a half-century, on the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan was 4 runs short of a century, scoring 42 and 96 respectively.
Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper gave yet another brilliant performance and crossed 78 runs off 76 balls. The Indian all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja scored 20 runs in 16 balls.

Batting at number 5, KL Rahul’s batting position was changed once again, however, the cricketer once again proved his brilliance with his stunning performance. He went on to score 80 runs off 522 balls only, where he smashed 6 fours and 3 sixes with the strike-rate of 153.85.
In the first ODI as well, KL Rahul impressed everyone with his brilliant performance. Batting at number 3, KL Rahul scored 47 runs in 62 balls.
