The whole world is struggling to come to terms with the growing threat of the novel COVID-19 or Coronavirus outbreak, former Pakistan’s pacer Shoaib Akhtar has blamed ‘the Chinese people’s for spreading the virus and putting the world at risk.
Shoaib Akhtar, who often shares his opinions via YouTube videos, recently shared a new video, where he can be seen directing his anger on China by ranting about their food habits.
The Recently discovered Coronavirus has left the whole world in a state of panic and fear. The outbreak of the virus began in Wuhan, China in December 2019. So far, the virus has infected more than 1,22,000 people globally, while the number has reached 97 in India. Because of the Coronavirus, a lot of sporting events have been rescheduled or canceled. The upcoming edition of IPL has been suspended till April 15, while on the other hand the ongoing season of PSL has also been affected by the outbreak of virus as the foreign players are heading back to their homes. The remaining matches of PSL will now be played behind closed doors, with no spectators.
All this has angered Pakistan’s former pacer Shoaib Akhtar, who has slammed Chinese people in his latest video. In the video, he said:
“I don’t understand why you have to eat things like bats, drink their blood and urine and spread some virus across the globe I’m talking about the Chinese people. They have put the world at stake. I really don’t understand how can you eat bats, dogs, and cats. I’m really angry. The whole world is at risk now. The tourism industry has been hit, the economy is badly affected, and the whole world is going towards a lockdown,”
He added:
“I’m not against the people of China but I’m against the law of animals. I understand this may be your culture but this is not benefitting you now, it is killing humanity. I’m not saying you boycott the Chinese but there has to be some law. You cannot go on an eat anything and everything,”
Shoaib Akhtar revealed the biggest reason behind his anger. He said:
“The biggest reason for anger is PSL Cricket returned to Pakistan after so many years, the PSL was happening in our country for the first time now even that is at risk. The foreign players are leaving, it will take place behind closed doors,”
