India’s women cricket team who were unbeaten throughout the World Cup tournament gave an underwhelming performance the lost the game by 85 runs.
Before the match started at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the skipper of Australian women cricket team Meg Lanning won the toss and chose to bat first. The Indian bowlers were smashed to all the corners by the Australian batters, who scored their highest T20I score of 184 runs.
Not just with the bat, the Australians were brilliant in all the three departments of the game as they bundled up the Indian cricket team only on 99 runs with top batters like Smriti Mandhana, Shefali Verma, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Jemimah Rodrigues failing to give best of their abilities.
