Stuart Broad Trolled Joe After Over His ‘No Handshake’ Policy To Avoid Coronavirus

English Test captain, Joe Root had gained the attention of the cricket universe last evening by making a strange statement. He further said that the players will instead do fist bumps after the match ends.

This statement surprised a lot of fans because the Coronavirus issue is mainly in China and surrounding regions. Although there have been a few cases in other nations, it is no so widespread as the Chinese regions. Hence, Root’s statement did not make much sense. It might be possible that the English team is taking this action after their players suffered from illness in the recently concluded South Africa tour.

And, Joe Root argued out that South Africa’s tour was a learning lesson for the English team. He said:

“After the illnesses that swept through the squad in South Africa, we are well aware of the importance of keeping contact to a minimum and we’ve been given some really sound and sensible advice from our medical team to help prevent spreading germs and bacteria.”

It seems like Broad is among those members of the cricket world who were taken aback by Root’s words and the fast bowler mercilessly roasted his skipper on Twitter. He even used the handshaking emoji in the caption besides tagging Joe Root in the tweet.
