MS Dhoni is one of the most loved and respected cricketers in the history of the game. As an individual, his numbers are spectacular and we all know about his contribution to Indian cricket as captain. Over the years, we have seen MS Dhoni carry himself in the most elegant and dignified manner on the field and lead by example.

In the ongoing ODI series between India and Australia, Dhoni is playing as the senior most member of the squad. Even after stepping down from captaincy, he is still actively involved in decision making on the field. From setting fielding positions to taking DRS, the Indian captain Virat Kohli mostly looks towards MS Dhoni to take advice.

Even in the nets, Dhoni keeps engaging with young cricketers and helps them in understanding the game.

India are 2-0 up in the series and the third match is on Sunday at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. India would look to seal the series by winning the third ODI. And Australia, on the other hand, would want to give a strong performance and comeback in the series.

So far, India have outplayed the Kangaroos in all three departments of the game. India’s young spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have bowled brilliantly and troubled the Australian batsmen by exploiting their weakness against spin.

Chahal and Yadav have taken 10 wickets in the first 2 matches and send a strong message across to the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, who are India’s top 2 spinners at the moment. And, in the batting department, there have been some good performances from the likes of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya and Ajinkya Rahane

MS Dhoni turns spinner in the nets

During the practise session on the eve of the third ODI, MS Dhoni was seen bowling spin alongside Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav in the nets. We have seen MS Dhoni bowl seam up deliveries in international cricket and he likes rolling his arm over in the nets, but this is the first time we are seeing him bowl spin.

BCCI’s Twitter handle posted the video and it became an instant hit on the social media. Indian cricket fans were happy to see a yet another new side of MS Dhoni. Some of the fans got too ambitious and started thinking that Dhoni will bowl off-spinners to Australian batsmen in the third ODI.

Will he or will he not? Only time will tell but we keep wondering is there anything that this man MS Dhoni can not do on a cricket field? Watch the video here:
