England’s swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler was all praise for India and Indian cricket fans after the first match of the ongoing series ODI series between India and England. Buttler, who hasn’t really been in the best of form on this tour so far, said that there is no place like India to come and play cricket.
“There’s no place like India to come and play cricket. It is a fantastic experience for someone to cherish and really embrace. The atmosphere the other day in Pune (first ODI) was fantastic. The quieter it is, it’s better for us. It’s a fantastic challenge for us and a really enjoyable one,” Buttler said at a press conference.
Buttler also plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians. He is a very big hitter of the cricket ball and this is the reason why Mumbai Indians did very aggressive bidding for him during auction.
Talking about his role in the team, Buttler said that he wants to win games for England with his bat.
“I want to be someone who wins games of cricket for England, that’s my main driving force. It’s a real motivation to stand up and take responsibility. I want to do it more and more.
