VIDEO: Murali Vijay greets the groundsmen after winning the series

Murali Vijay is India’s first-choice opener in Test cricket. In the last 2 years or so, Vijay has worked very hard on his technique and now he is one of the most technically correct batsmen in India. Vijay, who comes from Chennai, has a very good temperament and the patience with which he builds his innings is exemplary. Vijay is a marathon-man when it comes to batting. He can bat for hours without losing his focus and this what makes him a very good Test batsman.

In the recently concluded Test series between India and England, Vijay batted brilliantly and scored two hundreds at the top of the order. He got injured in the fifth Test but he still came out to bat at no. 6 position with an injured shoulder and scored 29 runs off 76 balls.

After India won the match and the series in Chennai, Murali Vijay came out to meet all the members of the ground-staff team and hugged all of them. It was a very good gesture by Murali Vijay on his home ground. Watch it here:
