Virender Sehwag was the first Indian batsman to reach the 300-run mark in Test cricket. Later, he doubled it by scoring 2 triple-hundreds in Test cricket. But, now, he is not alone in this list and Karnataka’s Karun Nair has joined him, becoming the second Indian batsman to score a triple-hundred in Test cricket.
Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to congratulate Karun Nair. Sehwag wrote:
“Yay ! Welcome to the 300 club @karun126 . It was very lonely here for the last 12 years 8 months. Wish you the very best Karun.Maza aa gaya!”

Karun Nair also became only the third batsman ever to convert his maiden hundred into a double hundred in Test cricket. Before Karun Nair, Gary Sobers (365*) and Bobby Simpson (311) had turned their maiden centuries into a triple ton in the past.
