India’s Test captain Virat Kohli scored his third Test double hundred in the first innings of the ongoing fourth Test against England. Before this year, Kohli had no double in Test cricket, but the kind of form he is in, it was inevitable. in 2016, Virat Kohli has scored three double hundreds. His first came against West Indies in Carribean and now the third one came against England at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Virat Kohli batted for 340 balls and scored 235 runs. It was a marathon knock which will be remembered for many years to come. Kohli’s shot selection was astute and the fact that he smashed inly one six, shows how much control he had on his game throughout the innings.
