Sensational bowler Rashid Khan was over the moon after Gujarat Titans was crowned the champions of the 2022 edition of their Indian Premier League in their maiden season. On Sunday, Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to win IPL 2022.
Afghanistan’s star bowler Rashid Khan played a crucial role in GT’s victory in IPL 2022. He picked 19 wickets off 17 games and played an important inning with the bat to help the debutants lift the prestigious trophy in their first attempt only. Besides bowling, Rashid contributed very well with the bat as well. He batted at a strike rate of 206.82 and made an important 40 runs off 21 balls in a must-win game against CSK.
He was brilliant in the final match against Rajasthan Royals as he finished with the figures of 1 for 18 off 4 overs. He dismissed Devdutt Padikkal to push the Royals further on the backfoot, while GT’s captain Hardik Pandya rattled the side by picking three crucial wickets.

Meanwhile, as Rashid Khan’s journey with the IPL this year came to an end, he took to his social media, on Tuesday, and posted a beautiful message for his fans in India. Rashid took to his Twitter and expressed his gratitude to his fans for their immense love and support for him throughout the series. He also wrote how he is going back with lots of amazing memories this year. He wrote:

After the memorable win, Rashid Khan called the IPL 2022 win as the biggest achievement of his career. Speaking to Star Sports after winning the IPL 2022, Rashid had said:
“Biggest achievement of your career is to be part of a winning IPL team. You always want to do well in big competitions like this. Winning tournaments like this, you’ll need to put in a lot of hard work and this is certainly a high point of my career,”
