Dinesh Karthik Wrote An Emotional Message For His Fans: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s journey in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League came to an end after they were defeated by Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 round at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday. Dinesh Karthik’s return to form was the biggest positive of RCB’s campaign in IPL 2022.

Veteran keeper-batter Dinesh Karthik had lent solidity to the batting lineup of Faf du Plessis-led RCB by playing some match-winning knocks in the ongoing season. In 16 games, the veteran has notched 330 runs at an average of 55.00 and a strike rate of 183.33, with a top score of an unbeaten 66 against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

He played an instrumental role in taking RCB to Qualifier 2, playing an unbeaten knock of 37 off 23 balls, laced with five fours and a six. However, he couldn’t give the best of his abilities as he was dismissed after scoring just 6 runs in the qualifier 2 round.  Rajasthan Royals’ was a better team in the qualifier 2 round as they defeated RCB by 7 wickets to storm into the IPL 2022 finals, where they will now lock horns with Gujarat Titans.

Dinesh Karthik’s Message For His Fans

Meanwhile, after RCB’s journey came to an end Dinesh Karthik took to his social media and wrote an emotional message for his fans. In his Tweet, he talked about the journey of RCB in IPL 2022 and also expressed his gratitude to his fans. He wrote:

Didn’t get the result we wanted tonight but proud of this team, the journey and the fearless brand of cricket we’ve played! Thanks to each and every fan for their support ❤ We’ll be back stronger next year!”

All thanks to his terrific performances in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, Dinesh Karthik stormed back into the Indian cricket team’s setup for the T20I series against South Africa. He made a comeback to the Indian team after a long wait of 3 years. The much-awaited 5-match T20I series between India and South Africa will kickstart on June 9th.
