Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 5 wickets, on Friday, at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Ravi Ashwin was at his best as he gave a stellar all-around performance to help his side secure second place in the IPL 2022 team standings with a thrilling win last night.
R Ashwin stole the show with the bat as he smashed an unbeaten 40 in just 23 deliveries and guided his team to victory. His stunning knock was laced with 3 sixes and 2 boundaries.
Ashwin, who came to bat at number five in the game last night against Chennai Super Kings, has been constantly giving amazing performances with the bat in the ongoing season. He even smashed a half-century against Delhi Capitals, after he walked out to bat at number 3.

Meanwhile, in the game against CSK, after smashing the winning runs Ravi Ashwin celebrated the win by imitating David Warner’s chest-thumping celebration. Speaking after his match-winning knock, Ashwin made a hilarious comment while talking about his celebration. He said:
“I brought the David Warner inside me,”
He also credited the support staff at Rajasthan Royals for understanding his game and motivating him to go the extra mile. He said:
“I have understood the game well and am innovative. I don’t have enough power, credit has to go to Rajamani and Zubin Bharucha. They’ve understood my nature and that I don’t bat the same every game. They’ve given me encouragement and I’ve practiced a lot.”
He added: “I want to play my A-game for all franchises I play for. It’s a mark of respect. Glad we’re in the playoffs,”

Captain Sanju Samson also heaped praises on R Ashwin as he hailed him as the ‘great all-rounder’. He said: “Ashwin has done a great job and has turned out to be a great all-rounder for us. He batted a lot in the nets before the season,”
