IPL 2022: Madhav Sharma Tweeted Why RCB Should Drop Virat Kohli

Former RCB captain Virat Kohli has been going through a rough patch in his career. He is currently in the middle of a poor run of form in the ongoing IPL 2022 season.

On Sunday, his poor form with the bat continued against SRH as he once again failed to perform. He departed in a worst-possible way in the ongoing match against SunRisers Hyderabad. He departed for a golden duck once again as he handed a simple catch to Kane Williamson off left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith.

Coming out to bat first, Virat Kohli walked out to open the innings for RCB, however, the team got off to a horrible start as Virat was dismissed on the first delivery of the game itself.

This was his third duck of the season and the second one against the SunRisers. Jagadeesha Suchith opened the bowling for SRH and Virat smashed an innocuous-looking delivery, which landed straight into the hands of Kane Williamson, who was standing at short midwicket off the first delivery of the game.

Talking about his numbers, he is currently having a forgettable season with the bat and has only managed to score 216 runs in 12 matches.

Meanwhile, Virat has found himself at the receiving end of criticism and trolling. He is getting trolled badly on Twitter for his poor run in the ongoing season. Several experts and cricketers also feel that it is high time that Virat takes a break of some time from the game.

After Virat registered his third duck of the season, popular Twitter user and cricket expert Madhav Sharma took to Twitter and explained why RCB should drop him from the playing XI. He wrote:

“RCB should drop Virat Kohli for a few games. It’s a team-game and no individual can ever be bigger than the team. #RCBvsSRH”
