IPL 2022: Harsha Bhogle Posted A Special Tweet For KL Rahul

Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul has been in sublime touch with the bat in IPL 2022 and has continued the rocking form in the IPL. Despite bagging two golden ducks this season, Rahul is the second-leading run-scorer in the tournament, behind only Jos Buttler.

In 8 matches, he’s amassed 368 runs at an average of 61, striking at 147. Rahul has slammed two centuries – both versus Mumbai Indians – and one fifty.

On Sunday evening, at the iconic Wankhede, he hit his third IPL century against Rohit Sharma’s side. He’d hit one as Punjab Kings opener in 2019 and then earlier this season against the five-time champions at the Brabourne.

It was a typical KL Rahul IPL knock: he started off slowly before accelerating in the second half of the innings.

Mumbai Indians kept things tightly today, bowling really well at the start of the LSG innings. By the 8-over mark, LSH were tied down to 45/1 with Rahul scoring run-a-ball 27.

With the pressure mounting up, he broke his shackles, slamming Jaydev Unadkat for a maximum over deep mid-wicket, and followed it up with a couple of boundaries to Meredith. As LSG started to gain some momentum, Kieron Pollard and Daniel Sams nipped out three quick wickets to give MI an upper hand.

But Rahul once again forced the issue, clattering the Australian seamer for a couple of sixes, one down the ground and another on the offside. Rahul didn’t spare even MI’s main bowler Jasprit Bumrah, carving him for two fours in a 10-run over before wedging a hat-trick of fours to Unadkat.

On 96, in the last over, Rahul pulled Meredith for a stunning six to bring up his hundred in style. He remained unbeaten on 103 off 62 balls, his innings consisting of 12 fours and 4 towering sixes.

Renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle brought out a sweet and special tweet for this superb patch of KL Rahul. “In the form he is in, watching #KLRahul bat is as good as anything you will do,” Bhogle tweeted.
