Earlier in the week, Rajasthan Royals leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal became the 21st bowler to take a hat-trick in the IPL when he dismissed Kolkata Knight Riders’ Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Mavi, and Pat Cummins in a row en route to completing his maiden IPL five-wicket haul. This five-fer helped RR defeat KKR by a slender margin on 7 runs.
Before moving to RR, Yuzvendra Chahal was with RCB where he forged his career. He is RCB’s all-time leading wicket-taker with 139 scalps for the franchise. Now he has a total of 156 wickets, making him the fifth-highest wicket-taker in the IPL. He has taken 68 T20I wickets – the highest at the moment by an Indian – and 108 ODI wickets for India.
The Haryana bowler is known to be a wily spinner. And he has had a sharp brain since childhood: before switching to cricket, Chahal was a professional chess player who participated in the World Youth Chess Championships.
Speaking about Chahal’s salary, apart from the central contract of the BCCI and the regular match fees, Chahal fills his pockets with the big bucks offered to him in the IPL. From 2018 to 2021 while at RCB, Chahal was bought at INR 6 crore; ahead of IPL 2022, Royals roped him in for 6.5 crore. Before that, from 2011 to 2017, with MI and RCB, Chahal was contracted at 10 lakh. From the IPL, he has earned over 31 crore over his career till now.
Yuzvendra Chahal has also endorsed big brands such as VIVO, OnePlus and others and is a regular in advertisements.

Yuzvendra Chahal lives an opulent life and has a luxurious home in Gurgaon where he lives with his family comprising his parents, sister and wife. The house is beautifully designed with a modern look to it. The hall has a sharp wooden stairway while the bedrooms are painted in light shade colours and have mood lighting.
Three years ago, Yuzvendra Chahal bought a stylish Porsche Cayenne in November 2019; the price of car is estimated to be around 1.3 crore.
Yuzvendra Chahal loves to travel when not busy with cricket. He is often seen exploring different parts of India and the world with his wife Dhanashree Verma, who is a dancer and choreographer.
