IPL 2022: Finally, the Mumbai Indians will now return to their fortress, the Wankhede Stadium, however, it seems too late to now aim for a playoff berth given they have lost all of their 7 matches of the season.
Now, on Sunday evening, they will now take on the Lucknow Super Giants, who have won four of their 7 matches but are coming off an 18-run loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore. Rohit Sharmaβs side came close to registering their first win of the season in the last game, versus Chennai Super Kings, but an MS Dhoni special handed them a last-ball defeat.
Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
Recently over 400 runs were scored in the RR-DC game with pacers taking more wickets than the spinners. Expect another batting paradise at the Wankhede and another high-scoring game with two teams having strong batting units.

Mumbai Indians:
MI came really close to a win vs CSK with most of their players performing well. However, the skipper has been in poor form; Rohit Sharma could even ponder upon pushing himself down in the order, although that seems highly unlikely.
With MI all but out of the playoff race, they could ring a few changes. The likes of Tim David, Arshad Khan, Sanjay Yadav, Mayank Markande could get a game.
MI predicted XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Dewald Brevis, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Kieron Pollard/Tim David, Daniel Sams, Hrithik Shokeen/Arshad Khan, Riley Meredith, Jaydev Unadkat/Mayank Markande, Jasprit Bumrah

Lucknow Super Giants:
Despite the loss to RCB, Lucknow are unlikely to make more than one change. Given MI have a left-hander at the top β Kishan β and another one to follow β Tilak Varma β LSG is expected to replace Manish Pandey with Krishnappa Gowtham.
LSG predicted XI: KL Rahul (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Manish Pandey/Krishnappa Gowtham, Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi
