After he anchored his innings cautiously to reach his 16th ODI centuries he changed gears and unleashed his destructive self. Sri Lankan bowlers had no answer to the Rohit Sharma cyclone and surrendered submissively. The Sri Lankan bowlers who looked in great rhythm were literally bullied by Rohit Sharma.
Parents amply proud
Who wouldn’t be proud of a son who has three double tons in ODIs? Rohit Sharma’s Mother was elated to see her son repeat the unbelievable and she’s profoundly proud of him.
Speaking about Rohit’s Mohali knock his mother said, “I am very proud as a mother that my son is the captain of the Indian team and is playing good innings for the team.I don’t have words to express.
It feels very good. It’s his anniversary today and our daughter-in-law is also there so that feels very good. All the wishes and luck worked for him.”
Mrs Purnima Sharma expressed that she was very surprised to see Rohit reach his hundred and then escalate immediately to reach a double hundred hitting all those fours and sixes.
His father Gurunath said, “We have seen tough days and now here we are today. It’s Rohit’s achievements that have brought us here today. We know he has achieved something remarkable by scoring three double tons.”
His mother hoped that the son will win the series as well as he has done successfully captaining the Mumbai side in the Indian Premier League. “When he first became captain of his IPL team we were very happy.
Then he began winning titles for them. Now that he has got this chance we hope he can win titles here as well,” said the jubilant mother.
