Rohit smashed a staggering double hundred in the second ODI at Mohali and this was his third double ton in ODIs which seems like a formidable record. Rohit in his marathon innings hit 12 sixes and made the Lankan bowlers pant in sweat despite the biting cold.

After the knock Rohit said that he’s not the greatest of hitters and hitting sixes isn’t easy. Rohit said that it takes a lot of hard work to hit sixes. Rohit had added responsibilities on his shoulder as he’s captaining the side in the ODI series while Kohli has been rested.

Rohit Sharma after falling cheaply in Dharamshala was cautious in the Mohali ODI and saw off the new ball with great caution. Once he got his eye in then he smashed the bowlers all around the park.

Rohit changed gears after getting to his 16th ODI hundred and then Mohali witnessed the Rohit Sharma storm.

Rohit before the Mohali double ton had scored 264 against Sri Lanka and 209 against Australia in 2013. He further added that the Mohali double ton is also dearly special as it helped the team’s cause after being one down in the series after losing in Dharamshala.
