After a shameful defeat in Dharamshala action now shifts to Mohali. As the second ODI in Mohali begins in a few hours, Rohit Sharma’s heartbeat would be running fast as it’s a must win situation for India to retain their chances in the series.

India was badly thrashed by the Lankans who emerged as a surprise package in Dharamshala. India got bowled out for just 112 runs and had to face an embarrassing defeat in the absence of Kohli.

Now there’s this big responsibility on the new captain, Rohit Sharma. He will have to regroup the team, lift the morale of the team and also encourage the inexperienced middle order to perform.

If India loses the second match top of the 3 Match ODI series then India would end up losing the series and that would be disastrous for team’s morale before advancing to South Africa. It’s a do or die situation for Rohit and his men and a true test of character.

India would look to bounce back in the series

As stated earlier, it’s a do or die situation for India in Mohali. India either wins the match or loses the series and if India’s goes about losing than it would be one major turnover of events.

Kohli’s absence was badly felt at Dharamshala as Dhoni was the only batsman who seemed to have an answer to the questions asked by Lakmal and other Lankan Bowlers.
