After defeating Sri Lanka 1-0 in the Test series, India would now look to Whitewash the Lankans in the ODI series.
New captains for both sides

The ODI series that starts today will se a change of captains in both the camps. While Rohit Sharma will lead team India in absence of Virat Kohli, Thishara Perera will be the new captain of Sri Lanka in limited overs format starting today. Virat Kohli sought rest from the ODI and T20 series citing reasons of exertion and fatigue. Rohit Sharma hence would be the Skipper for the ODI series and T20 series against Sri Lanka.
India high on spirits

India is riding high on morale. First India defeated the Aussies, then the Kiwis and now is the turn of the Lankan lions. Even without Kohli the balance of team India looks just about perfect.

He will be leading the bowling attack of India and his partnership with Bumrah is one of the best death overs combinations in the world. The high utility all rounder, Hardik Pandya too would be making a comeback from the much needed rest.
