Another day, another disappointing outing for Chennai Super Kings’ star opener Ruturaj Gaikwad. Well, it won’t be wrong to say that the lean form of Ruturaj Gaikwad is one of the reasons why defending champions Chennai Super Kings have failed to win a single match in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, who won the Orange Cap in the previous season for being the highest run-getter, has failed to give the best of his abilities so far in the ongoing season. Having scored 635 runs in the previous season of the game off 16 games, Gaikwad was hailed as the biggest find of the previous season. He had also hit four fifties and one century in the previous season.
However, the cricketer hasn’t been able to contribute much with the bat as he was dismissed for three single-digit scores in CSK’s first three games of IPL 2022.
Today, as Chennai Super Kings are locking their horns with SunRisers Hyderabad today, a lot was expected from the bat of Gaikwad, however, he once again failed to live up to the expectations of the fans. He could only score 16 runs off 13 balls before he was dismissed off the first ball by T Natarajan. It was a top-notch delivery from Natarajan, that sneaked between Gaikwad’s bat and blade and shattered the stumps.
