Mumbai Indians‘ captain Rohit Sharma appeared to be frustrated after Mumbai Indians failed to open their account in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League as they suffered a third consecutive defeat in a game against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Kolkata Knight Riders’ stat bowler Pat Cummins broke havoc with the bat as he smashed the joint-fastest IPL half-century.
Pat Cummins walked out to bat at No. 7 ahead of Sunil Narine when his team needed 61 runs off 41 balls to win the game. A single-handed effort from him saw his side snatch the game from Mumbai Indians. He smashed the MI bowlers all around the ground as he scored a knock of 56 runs off 15 balls and riding on his stellar knock Kolkata Knight Riders defeated MI by five wickets in today’s match.
After incurring their third defeat of the season, captain Rohit Sharma was visibly upset by the results and he was even seen yelling at a crew member, belonging to broadcaster Star Sports. As the losing captains don’t get the privilege of a host standing in front of them, Rohit had yelled at a crew member and had asked him to increase the volume of commentators. He said:
“Aawaaz badhao yaar uska thoda [Increase the volume],”
The video of the same has been going viral on the internet, here, watch the video:

Further, talking about the game, Rohit feels that they “had the game” till the 15th over but a “brilliant” Cummins turned the tables for their side. He said:
““We had the game till the 15th over, but then Cummins was brilliant. Whenever you have runs on the board, we always have the upper hand, We had them 5-down, it was just a matter of the wicket of Venky or Pat, they had Sunil who could smash them. This will be hard to digest, the way it turned out in the last few overs.”
