Liam Livingstone Smashed The Biggest Six Of IPL 2022

Punjab Kings’ Liam Livingstone utterly butchered the Chennai Super Kings bowling when the Englishman took on the men in yellow on Sunday evening at the Brabourne Stadium as he rumbled to a 32-ball 60-run knock that included 5 fours and 5 cleanly hit sixes.

One six among those five is now the longest six of the IPL 2022 so far; Livingstone recorded the biggest maximum of the season until now with a gigantic 108-metre hit! Without any surprise, it is Livingstone again who has smashed the second-longest six of the tournament of 105 metres.

Following these two giant hits from Livingstone is his compatriot Jos Buttler with a couple of mammoth maximums that were recorded to be 101 and 98 metres during his century against Mumbai Indians on Saturday.

Livingstone whacked this six of 108 metres against young Indian pacer Mukesh Choudhary. From over the wicket angle, the left-arm seamer bowled a length delivery slanted across the batter, however, it was in the arc of the tall Livingstone who had set up his launching base, cleared his front leg, and smoked it disdainfully over the deep mid-wicket fence; the ball was in air for longer than usual duration and continued to pick up more and more distance, finally coming down at 108-metre recorded distance.

Livingstone had come in to bat after Punjab had lost a couple of early wickets for just 14. But the right-hander was determined to take on the CSK bowling attack. Take on he did. First he hammered Choudhary for a six and a four before walloping the same bowler for that 108-metre sixer in a 26-run over.

At the other end, Dhawan took on Bravo for a six and two fours. After sending Jadeja over the ropes on the spinner’s first ball, Livingstone was given a reprieve by Rayudu. He then brought up his fifty with another maximum off Bravo but then couldn’t carry on much after that and was dismissed by Jadeja, incidentally caught by Rayudu. That ended a highly entertaining inning from the Englishman.
