IPL 2022: Yuzvendra Chahal Posted A Hilarious Tweet For Jos Buttler

Indian and Rajasthan Royals’ star bowler Yuzvendra Chahal penned down a hilarious post on Twitter after Rajasthan Royals defeated Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. Jos Buttler’s heroics with the bat and the terrific bowling spells by spin-duos Ravi Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal helped the team beat Mumbai Indians by 23 runs in an IPL match.

Jos Buttler played a solid knock of 100 runs off 68 balls, which was his second IPL ton, to help the Royals to 193 runs for 8. Buttler managed to score his second ton off only 66 balls, despite Jasprit Bumrah’s (3/17 in 4 overs) brilliant effort.

Later, experienced Indian bowlers Ashwin (1/30 in 4 overs) and Chahal (2/26 in 4 overs) trapped the Mumbai batters to tilt the game in RR’s favor between overs 14 to 16.

During his spell, Yuzvendra Chahal joined hands with Buttler to pick the wicket of Daniel Sams on the first ball-duck. He went on the very first ball. The wicket came on the very next delivery after he dismissed Tim David.

Sam looked to heave it on the leg-side and it went off the top edge. Both long on and deep mid-wicket go for it. A mistimed shot from Sams, who had already had a poor day with the ball, went high up in the air. In the end, it was Jos Buttler from deep mid-wicket who took a stunning dive and was even mid-air for a split second.

Later, after the game, Yuzvendra Chahal took to Twitter and shared a heartfelt note for Jos Buttler, wherein he highlighted their amazing camaraderie on the field. He wrote:

For the unversed, it was just a few days back when Chahal took over as the admin of the Rajasthan Royals’ official Twitter handle for a while last week and shared some hilarious content, that left everyone in splits. On March 16, Chahal took over RR’s official Twitter handle and shared a picture of him batting for team India. Sharing the picture, saying:

“10,000 retweets and he will open with @josbuttler uncle”.
