Deepak Chahar Is All-Set To Make a Comeback: Defending champions Chennai Super Kings slumped to their second loss in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) on Thursday after they were defeated by Lucknow Super Giants in a thrilling contest at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. This is the first time in the history of this league that CSK suffered defeat in their two opening games in a season.
Under the leadership of new captain Ravindra Jadeja, Chennai has lost both their games while defending the target. On Thursday, the dew factor and lack of experience in bowling at the death were among the two reasons behind CSK’s defeat on Thursday.
Though, Robin Uthappa, Shivam Dube, Moeen Ali, and Ambati Rayudu chipped in some valuable runs on Thursday, however, the absence of injured fast bowler Deepak Chahar was felt the most.
The sensational bowler, who has been an integral part of the Chennai set-up for years now was roped in for INR 14 crore during the IPL 2022 mega-auctions. However, the pacer suffered a major injury a few days later after the mega-auctions. Chahar had injured his right quadriceps in the final T20I of a three-match series against West Indies.
While initially it was expected that he would miss the entire season, however, there is some good news for Chennai Super Kings fans as Deepak gave a major update about his health as he continues to undergo rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Deepak took to his Instagram story and shared a short clip of him bowling in the nets at the BCCI facility. Sharing the video, Chahar wrote: “Update on demand.”
