Here’s The Reason Why Sam Curran Pulled Out Of IPL 2022

The much-awaited IPL 2022 mega-auctions is just around the corner and the fans just can’t wait for the mega-event to take place. The event is scheduled to take place on February 12th and 13th in Bengaluru. However, ahead of the tournament, a number of popular overseas players have made themselves. Sam Curran will also not be a part of IPL 2022.

Star England fast-bowling all-rounder, Sam Curran, who was a part of Premier League (IPL) 2021 winning side, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), wasn’t retained by the franchise ahead of the mega-auctions. CSK decided to retain their captain, MS Dhoni, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, batter Ruturaj Gaikwad and England all-rounder Moeen Ali.




Sam Curran has now finally revealed the reason behind not participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction.

On Saturday, Sam took to Twitter and revealed the real reason behind opting out of the mega-auction. He stated how he has agreed to not enter the IPL 2022 auction in order to focus on his rehabilitation. He wrote:




“It was agreed that sadly I should not enter the IPL auction this year and to focus on my rehabilitation. I’m back in the nets and feeling great so hope to be back soon, Wishing everyone all the best for the tournament. I look forward to starting the season with @surreycricket”

Apart from Sam Curran, several big names like Mitchell Starc, Chris Gayle, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer and Joe Root have also opted out of the IPL 2022 mega auction.

Also, on Saturday, the two new franchises of the Indian Premier League (IPL) – Ahmedabad and Lucknow- have officially announced their draft picks ahead of the much-awaited IPL 2022.

While Hardik Pandya (captain), Shubman Gill, and Rashid Khan have been picked by the Ahmedabad-based franchise. On the other hand, KL Rahul (Captain), Marcus Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi are picked by the Lucknow-based franchise.
